He is a native of the Pacific Northwest and is retired faculty at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. As a student of Ingolf Dahl, Halsey Stevens, and Robert Linn, Morten's music reflects his diverse background and has been acclaimed for its beauty, expressivity and sensitivity.
