Robert Knable is a composer of chamber, orchestral, jazz, and theater works. He has been a freelance woodwind performer, conductor, and professor of music for over 35 years - Sacramento City College, Berklee College of Music, and Solano Community College (ret.). He designed and created curriculum for courses he taught in music theory, classical music history, history of jazz, commercial harmony and arranging, MIDI, and jazz improvisation. He also directed the college orchestra and jazz band. He has a master's in composition from the University of Arizona and bachelor's degree in composition from University of Southern California - studies with Ellis Kohs, Ramiro Cortes, Robert Linn, and Robert Muczynski.
